Children’s Relief Nursery

Children’s Relief Nursery, a Portland nonprofit that serves families with very young children, was in the midst of a rebranding initiative. To The Point was retained to provide consulting for the design of a new website and to work with the executive director to rewrite all content for the new site.

Writing new content was a challenge because content needed to be created as the website was being designed and built. To The Point’ Dan Cook worked very closely with Executive Director Chris Otis and other staff to create a list of all sections of information that would be found somewhere on the site, once a final design was selected. With this content list in place, To The Point wrote various versions of most of the descriptive sections in anticipation of shifting length requirements.

With the close cooperation of the staff in creation of content, To The Point was able to successfully deliver almost all the necessary page content prior to final selection of a website structure. The site design team was then able to flow the content as soon as a website structure was in place. CRN also requested and received a library of case studies from To The Point, which can be rotated on the new site to keep it fresh. Case studies were also repurposed for brochures and other needs without further editing.
