Our team includes Kathleen Krushas, Dan Cook, Kathy Fors and other skilled media specialists, illustrators and programmers. We also work collaboratively with a host of vendors who, like our clients, are passionate about their work and are driven to succeed.
Principal and Founder
Kathleen brings two decades of experience in nonprofit strategy that includes graphic design, fundraising, and communications, helping nonprofits across the country achieve their mission. Prior to starting To the Point, Krushas was OSPIRG’s publications director for five years. During this time she was asked to join the PIRG’s national publication team where she packaged and produced materials for other environmental campaigns and groups. She also worked in the development departments of several area nonprofits including Metropolitan Family Service, the Cascade AIDS Project, and Community Vision.
Dan specializes in creating public relations, marketing and donor relations strategies for nonprofits. He has been engaged in communications work on behalf of nonprofits since 1999, when he joined the Oregon Humane Society Board of Trustees. He served as editor of the Portland Business Journal (1997-2003) and continues to work as a journalist with a variety of news organizations.
Kathy has been creating beautiful design for the last 30 years for nonprofits and government agencies. She studied art and design at the University of Vermont and textile design in Sweden. Kathy began her career desiging national magazines. In the ’90s she worked for Oregon Public Broadcasting and added animation, exhibit design and art direction to her palette. Since then, she has worked with many community organizations including KBOO-FM and the Balkan Festival Northwest.
